Rotors and pull
Pull=tires bad/worn(assuming you checked for proper air pressure?) and/or alignment
shake=rotors
i had the shake while braking soon after i bought my truck with 20k on it. after a little research i found that didge put the 20" wheels on but did not improve brakes so this lead to calipers overheating and warping of the calipers. i replaced the pads and rotors with ebc rotors and greenstuff pads 50k later have never had any problems with the brakes. kinda pricey but well worth it in the end. as far as the pulling i have no clue, but i have been recently experiencing the same thing! looks like i need to check the tie rods, on a side note i also had it aligned recently with the same result as you. luckily i have lifetime alignment on the truck so it did not cost me anything but makes me question how much i should trust firestone to inpect and align the truck... hope this helps. mike
If the rotors are that warped.....you should feel a pulsating in your brake pedal as you apply the brakes. That's one of the dead giveaway signs of warped rotors.
As for pulling, there's several factors it could be.
Low tyre pressure, tyre going bad ie belt seperation, grabbing caliper.
Definately do a tyre rotation to see if the problem goes and inspect them as you do it.
Check on brake pad wear on the side it's pulling over to. If there is an unusual amount of pad wear compared to the other side......I'd bet that's your problem or part of it.
Another quick way to see if your calipers dragging, is to go for a short drive and do plenty of hard stops to heat up the brakes. Compare with the back of your hand the left and right side temps of your wheels where the lug nuts are. Be careful as if the calipers dragging, that side will be extremely hot and could even burn you! But if they're that hot and I've seen some that are, you will feel the high temp before your hand even gets too close to it lol. If there's an excessive amount of heat therre, thats your dragging caliper and a thorough brake job is needed.
Hope some of this helps?
