Out of Alignment Already
Don't pay for it!!! The dealer where I bought my truck had a guy that was back for his third attempt to align his truck. The dealer had the laser 4 wheel machine going. We spend big cash for these nice trucks the least they can do I drive like new trucks when you get them right?
How were the tires worn? Were they feathered or were the worn more to one edge? ussaly if the tire is feathered it tends to be a sign of toe adjustment if they are worn to one side or the other it tends to be a camber issue. you will get pull to the most posotive caster, most negative camber. If the readings are off such as camber number that show signs of pull to the right they tech should be able to compesate for that with other settings. 19 degree is not a huge number was it + or - degrees it can go either way i've done vechiles where perfectly straight is 10 to 15 degrees. I'm not trying to make excuses for them or anything just trying to help you work it out. It does kinda tick me off the tech would bs you like that about the pull.
Havent paid for anything but the original alignment and new tires,,, ouch. List would have been 400+ for two new tires got them at cost from a friend for 250. Im just really curious if a lot of the 4 door hemis have this problem, Ive heard it from different people if its big enough we got a chance of making chrysler do something. Anyway , hope to install my 360 intake this weekend.

What was the outcome? I'm having problems with this pulling thing to the right. The dealership says it's "crown sensitive". They did an alignment and now the condition is worse! One of the tech's confirmed the drift It seems excessive to me, to the point it is not safe. I'm asking Dodge for a report for what they think is acceptable. 60 minutes and Dateline will be getting a call on this matter. If anyone else is getting no cooperation from the dealership in this matter and feel like they are getting a brush off like I do, join me in this crusade. Thanks, Dave

I received my 05 daytona pulling to the right. Took it to the dealer first time. They said the tech set the alignment to the factory specs should be better. Drove home, but it still pulled to the right. Took it back they said they would try again. This time the said they adjusted as much as they could to adjust for a pull to the right. She now goes down the highway straight as an arrow. They said the factory specs are basically a guidline and that adjustment unique to your truck may be necessary. Again I am very pleased now.[sm=gears.gif]
I (unfortunately) still have a 05 1500 ram 2wd. Has pulled left on the highway since I (unfortunately) bought it. Was back at the dealer with 162 miles on it. Been there 6 times since, a private shop twice. Dealer REFUSES to fix it. Don't believe it's tires (rotated many times) but the last time at the dealer I asked if we could at least try different tires? "sorry dude" was the response. Apperently it is up to me to track down the problem. One more time to a private shop and I must sell/trade in for a rest from aggrivation. Will be sending a letter to dealer/Dodge. Very, very unhappy with the truck and service.
