As we all know, the reverse lights are lousy if you actually want to see where you are going. How many have changed or added lights? How? Which ones? Where did you mount them? Etc. etc. etc. Pictures appreciated.

Sweet Setup, all it needs in addition is a switch in the cab for those drivers that like to blind you with their high beam lights

I went with the white night about a year ago. Plenty of light even with tinted rear window. Only one complaint. If you tow it is extreemly difficult to remove your ball mount as the light assy covers the pin. I also had to put a couple of SS quick links on the hitch because it was hard to get to your safety chain loops

I have 2 layers of dark tinted class with the cap. These work great.

$29 for 2 55w lights. Made a bracket so they sit just below my bumper and out of the way of the trailer hitch. These are controlled with a relay wired into my backup lights, but you could install a switch also.

Piaa actually makes some backup lamps that are rather bright. They are a little more expensive than you autozone style cheap ones, but are much brighter and will last longer.

How did you wire the relay? I'm not very electric savvy. A wiring diagram would help immensely.

 

Attached. You can eliminate the circuit with the switch in it if you only want them to come on with the back-up lights.

I'd like to set some backup lights up with a 3-way switch in the cab (off/on/on-with-reverse). Does anyone have a place to get nice switches? Also, where would I get the relay? Thanks.
