electric fan

Default electric fan

got a 02 1500 with the 5.9 360 and was pulling a 18ft trailer today and it started to get warm 3/4 on the guage the outside temp was bout 65 or so anyways when i came to a stop i herd the cluth fan kick on and it cooled down quick so dont think the clutch is working propertly its not kicking on when im driving should i put a new clutch on or just put a eletric fan on and if so what size of fan do i need

I'm of the belief that whenever you need to repair something, you make it a mod (improve upon whatever part(s) you need to replace.

So I'd put an efan in it. If you are gonna tow, I would make sure I got a fan with at least 3000 cfm or dual fans. I have the Flex-a-Lite 180 Extreme, flows 3300 CFM.


JasonW (2nd Gen Ram owner) just did a very nice setup, dual fans and I believe EACH draws 3000 cfm. Wasn't cheap, but was a great mod...

I put a fex-a-lite fan on my 06 hemi and I pull a heavy fifth wheel camper. I pulled it last summer and it did great. That is the best thing you can do.

thanks guys just ordered the flex lite extreme 180 hopefully this fixes the problem
