Thanks Draco, since the mechanic had it apart I would have hoped he did that while he was in there but will check myself.
Odd, the last two days the truck was idling at 500rpm now. I have not driven it a whole lot but the few times I did she was at 500rpm (no a/c on etc).
Is it possible that the truck needed some time to adjust to the new IAC piece he put in? The temps outside have been a little higher so not sure if that would effect it idling a bit higher but I am happier with 500rpm vs the 300rpm it was at prior (assuming it stays at 500).

it would take a day or two if he didnt reset the PCM (unplugged the battery while he was doing it) for it to recognize the new part

I dont think he disconnected the battery because my radio stations were still pre-selected but it does go back down to 300 rpm's again, at times so I do think it is computer related in the dash because when it was at 500 rpm and went down to the 300rpm I heard nor felt any difference in the engine idle. I think he is right when he says the tachometer is not accurate. I guess as long as I never stahl its going to be ok..

There is a TSB on stalling trucks for 04-05 i think
