My 2003 has 96k miles on it and the rear pinion seal is starting to seap a little i was wounderng if any of you replaced this seal and if you have to pull the axle.

Also i would like to have a service manual for this truck so if any of you have a copy on the web of it i would appreaciate the link so i can down load it.

as in pull the axle to do a pinion seal no you do not have to.
first jack up the rear wheels off the ground
then you will have to pull the driveshaft off the rear axle,
then mark the pinion nut in sync with the pinion shaft with a paint marker or something that wont rub off easily,
then back the nut off and take out the washer as well,
then the yoke has to come off then you can get a heavier duty screw driver or seal puller and pull the seal out, (but be sure not to damage seal mating surface)
and reverse for install.
when putting the pinion nut back on make sure everything is tight and re-align the mark you made on the pinion nut and pinion shaft exactly.

IF NOT YOU HAVE A GOOD CHANCE TAKING OUT ONE OF YOUR PINION BEARINGS FROM OVER-TIGHTING OR NOT TIGHTING ENOUGH SO TAKE CAUTION.
honestly i would recommend someone doing it that has done one before and really knows what he is doing
