Default Traction Management System thing...

So we all know about the 04s and 05's that can't spin the tires, at least evertime they try. I know im one. The traction management system thing i keep getting told. I got back from the drags yesterday, and every Hemi Sport and every Daytona both 05's could rip it up. Does anyone know why?? Do they not have the traction crap like mine? If so, anyway to turn it off? Take it out?

Yes, they have the TMS. No, there is no way to take it out (part of tranny electronics). Yes, you can "tear it up" along with them with a proper launch.

Just for clarification;

Its not traction management, its torque management.

The tranny senses the high torque level and tells the computer to retard the timing to drop the torque.

Learn where the stall is on the TC and using it by "power braking" to a certain rpm that allows for the best combination of traction/time/wheelspin and letting her rip when it turns green. Just don't do it every day as it is not the easiest on the truck.

I know back in April when i ran my truck a Rockingham Dragway, it spun the tires hard going into second. The way i understand it, the system only works for a second to control the initial torque coming into the tranny.

yea, in the rain, we spun the tires hard, mostly from lack of traction (but it did certainly lay rubber). Is there a way to alter the sensor? I'm thinking run a switch to it's fuse or something and cut off it's power or something to deactivate it.

Running a switch to short it out temporarly sounds good. Want to be careful to long term transmission damage. I still dont see how a rumble bee and hemi sport can burn out alot easier them i can. I guess just playing around with the rmp level wil help me out.

I don't think a "disconnect switch" will be compatible.

The easiest way to get one that will light them up is get a hemi with a stick!!:O) No Torque Management. That is why they built it with the dual mass flywheel.
