Default 03 ram electrical problems

I have an 03 ram 3.7l QC, with a stereo system... 6 extra batteries, upgraded alt (270a), the works. My frame ground on the front battery melted about 2 weeks ago straight thru. Replaced it truck started fine, transmission goes into limp mode when i go from drive to reverse then back to drive. I have to put it in park then restart the truck to be able to drive it. I noticed a ground from the motor to the body by the exhaust from underneath passenger side is either rubbed thru or melted, not sure if this is the problem. I cant reach the bolt on the motor though. Its braided copper i got one half off the body side, ive already replaced the pressure sensor on the transmission, changed fluid and filters, and the solenoid pack. I was getting p0841 trans press switch a check range and i have Ab on c-codes for no tcm messages recieved... where do i go next and is there a transmission ground, my battery grounds are all 0 gauge.

You need to get the block to body ground fixed. It could be causing feedback and these newer vehicles need very good grounds or the PCM can start acting crazy.

The tcm monitors for solenoid engagement ny measuring the 'spike' on the line. A poor ground on the chassis or block could definitely cause undesired operation of the trans.

Odd that all these ground straps 'melted' in the same period. Did something high current short out?

First off, please post some pics of the truck. With that kind of electrical system Im sure you got some nice audio/video gear and maybe some cool customizations.

Secondly, Im sure you have upgraded the main electrical wiring correct? At least 2 gauge or bigger? Im using 1/0. So what size ground wire was this that melted from the frame to the battery? Literally melting in half a ground wire that (in your case) should be at least 2ga requires not only a lot of juice but also generates a lot of heat.

As HemiMoparGuy1981 said, download the Srv Man from the links in my sig and use the electrical schematics to help you out
