It will but you will need to change complete engine and PCM harnesses. I think the upgrade would automatically change your 45rfe to a 545rfe but Im not sure.

You'll probably need an 06 or newer pcm as they 06 and up have mds

Well, your motor mounts would have to be changed, but to answer your question, yes it will fit. Now if your '02 is a 4.7, then it will have the correct transmission (well hardware wise, anyway). If you have the 5.9, then you'd need the tranny or somebody who is damn good at conversions. The PCM from the '06 you'd need as well.

This would go a lot smoother if you could find a wrecked '06 donor truck...

Yep, 06 to 08 have MDS and require a matching PCM/harness and maybe even transmission since in MDS mode, the torque converter unlocks 30%, and I don't know if the 03-05 tranny is compatible. If ya want more power, put a 408 stroker in it. It's a direct bolt-in for the 318 or 360

How about the wiring, is there a lot to do there, or is it easy? Dose any one know for sure if the motor will bolt up to the trans?

You need the whole harness from the donor truck. What engine do you have now? It would be best to use the 06 trans as well.

I think the PCM would handle the tranny as far as MDS is concerned, BUT this would be dependent on the fact that your '02 had the 4.7, if this was a 5.9L V8, then the tranny would be the 46re and this would be a no go...
