Default Need help badly!!!!!

So I went to change the plugs on my 2007 Ram 2500HD Hemi and when I was removing the last coil for the last two plugs, the rubber spark plug tube on one of the plugs busted off half way down in the head. So when I took the coil off I had half a tube missing and its stuck around the plug down into the hole.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get it out? Of course its the last coil back on the passenger side.

A hooked dental pick might do the job if you can't get needle nosed pliers in there.

i just changed mine so i know how much of a pain in the *** that can be...if its the passenger side you should have a little more room than the drivers side...can you get a long set of needle nose in there?

Nope.....it's the last plug back and there is no room to maneuver the needle nose in there. I am def gonna try the dental pick tomorrow.

Anyone know the name of the part I need? I don't think its called a spark plug cap.

"Coil boot" maybe? A shop vac may help pull the boot out. You may be able to just force the plug socket down enough to reach the plug. I bet the dental pick is your best first bet. Good luck.

It is called a "spark plug boot". You should be able to buy just the boot and spring assembly at your local auto parts store. If you want an OE replacement you may have to buy the coil with it.
