The stock diesel; does it sound like a bus when idling, like the Ford Powerstroke or is is quite? There sometime when you just want a quiet ride.

Also, with gas prices sky rocketing like they are, the fuel economy of a diesel may be practical soon. What is the comparison of mile/gal?

 

the Cummins 600 series is super quiet when stock, it is much more quiet than a powerstroke, the bowtie aluminum diesel isn't a factor to me.. i know guys with the 3.55 rear end that are getting better than 18 mpg
