New K&N CAI=Low Idle, power??
Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while due to not really being motivated to do any mods to my Ram, but last week I caught wind of a great deal on a few things, and a K&N 57 CAI was one of them. I tried searching for this issue on here and on Google, etc., and all I could find were same issues but for every other vehicle brand forums except Dodge. Anyways, I just got done installing the 57 series K&N on my '03 Ram 1500 4.7, and followed instructions closely and checked everything after, made sure all connections were tight, etc. After starting the truck up to test it out, I quickly realized the truck idle was LOW, like around 500 rpm's when usually it is around 750-1000. Also, the truck sounded like it was bogging down or running on really low power, and even stalled once. It also gets really low in RPMs when I come to a stop, and when I gas it, the rpm needle shoots up rapidly from 500-700 to 2000 instantly. Anyone have some input on fixes to this? Things I have read so far is to try:
-Disconnecting battery for a full night to reset computer settings
-Check clamps/hose connections
-Remove/clean IAC...?
-Drive it around and it will get better...?
-MAF sensor or O2 Sensor issue?
Also, there is no check engine light on at all, if that helps.
Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sorry in advance if this issue has been dealt with somewhere on here already; I did make an honest effort to search and came up with nothing, at least for Dodge. Thanks!

Remove and clean the IAC and just drive it so it can relearn. It doesn't flow enough extra air to really effect much. You do not have a MAF. Is the IAT sensor plugged in good? Are you getting any CEL codes? Scan it to see if any are stored. It would still idle even of the whole air intake was removed as long as the IAT is hooked up.
Thanks for the input guys, to Lxman1, yes the IAT sensor is connected fine, I rechecked that yesterday, and no CEL still. I'll clean the IAC today and drive it around some more. It seems to be "relearning" already, but idle RPMs are still lower than usual.
