Default 05' 5.7l minor surging at idle

when at idle, my truck surges....the tac barely moves but you can hear it in the idle...truck has 38k miles on it.....cleaned throttle body...new plugs at 30k....dont really know what else to really do except leave it be and hope it doesnt get worse.

also, truck whistles when hitting the gas....figure has something to do with the throttle body gasket or whatnot cause it didnt really do it before i cleaned the TB....so im gonna replace the gasket this weekend, but also saw that it could be that the TB bolts arent torqued correctly. Some guy had same problem on another site and said he torqued bolts to 100lbs and the whistle went away......just wanted to get a census on what to do..

No Its not the fan. I have a post about my 05 downpage a little. Says 05 hemi rough idle. See if u notice it not doing it when the air is on? Mine surges like this ever so lightly. Like unless u drive the truck everyday u wouldn't kno. It gets under my skin. I've flashed the PCM already snd nothing. I've cleaned the throttle body and nothing.

I know what you mean about not seeing it but hearing it in the exhaust or idle. I can hear mine but I know mine is because im custom tuned and got a cam.

i would pull the TB off and make sure it is seated correctly although it has a guide pin on the intake to make sure it is aligned properly. As for 100lb of torque?? Maybe 100in lbs but certainly NOT 100ft lbs.

I think it is the hood and the wheels. Send them to me and it should run much better

Check all of your vacuum lines. You may have a small vacuum leak.
