Default buying new rims whats the smallest size aftermarket rims you can run

My dads buying me a new truck here in a month when i finish school, and hes gonna keep my truck and put it out at our ranch. Right now its got 20 inch rims and mud grapplers, which the mud grapplers are almost bald, and 20 in rims are terrible offroad anyways. He for sure wants to put 35 inch super swamper boggers on it with a smaller rim size, for better offroad handling. whats the smallest rim size i can run on it? 17's or 16's. He wants me to go ahead and buy a smaller offroad rim, and for sure thoses tires.

thanks thats what i thought, i was looking online, and the biggest i can fit right now would be a 35 inch tire, but the dont make the boggers in a 35 inch tire on a 17 in rim that i can find. They do make it in a 37 inch tire on a 17 inch rim. I guess i could trim my front fenders to clear 37s, or add a body lift. is there any other super swaper status non radial tires like the boggers that they make in a 35 in tire on a 17 inch rim. He wants non radial boggers on it, because the truck wont ever see pavement again.

And if anyone was was looking for some 20x10 moto metal 951 chrome rims here in a month or sooner, Id be looking to get rid of them. For far less then the price of a new set. you would probably have to live pretty close because im sure they are too heavy to ship for a decent price. just fyi

my truck w 6 of lift fit 35s easy. I dont see why you couldnt fit 37s with a little trimming.

Then again, if its going to be offroading alot you dont want the super stuffed tires for articulation reasons.

A good but a little rare off-road bias ply tire is the Ground Hawg. We have some pretty big mud pitts here and the Hawgs always do well in the deep mud. They come in both bias and radial.

Offroad ONLY!

Bias ply tires are Pre-historic to be driving Onroad with. They wear funny, wander going down the road, Noisey as hell, sloppy on corners, on, on...etc

Bias vs Radial
