Exclamation Help!!! Not sure where to start.

I have an 03 Ram 1500 5.7L with about 171,000. It has been throwing code p0137 on and off for about 2 weeks. Last night I got in the truck after driving it periodically throughout the day and I went about a mile before the truck started to spit and sputter, the exhaust sound changed and was idling very rough and did not want to stay started. I stopped immediately because I wasn't sure what was going on and the truck died. Is it possible that the o2 sensor is making the truck run (not run) like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again!

It is possible that O2 is so out of wack it is feeding the PCM bad info and therefore causing it to run bad. Another option is a broken valve spring that is causing rich exh and the O2 is working correctly and picking it up.

So pull those valve covers and check each valve spring and then move on to replacing the O2 ($25) and then resetting the PCM and see what you got.

I did a quick dtc lookup on google, it comes back with a rear O2 sensor low voltage

Might start there-----could just be a bad o2----with that many miles

Ok here is the update. I changed the plugs again, and changed the o2 sensor that was bad. I checked the codes last night prior to starting any work. Now it is throwing 3 codes, p0137-the o2 sensor, p2108 & p2106. We did all the previously stated work then we tried to start it and it wont even turn over. We tried to manually turn it at the crank and we got nothing. Not sure what to do now, someone please help.
Thank you

When you say you tried to manually turn it at the crank and got nothing, are you saying you put a big breaker bar on the crank bolt and tried to turn the engine with the breaker bar and it will not turn CW or CCW? If so this is to say the engine is seized and physically locked up normally due to over heating, hydrolocking or no oil.

I know that they got underneath the truck with the wrench and tried to start it manually. At the time when the truck died, there was plenty of oil, no overheating and the check engine light wasn't even on.

Seems we might be talking about two different things. Im talking about manually turning over the engine to see if it will move (not cranking it) and it sounds like you are trying to manipulate the starter to get IT to turn over the engine. It this correct?

You don't. But are you saying, with the key in the ignition, when you turn the key you get nothing?

Do the lights or radio come on? Check the fuses and battery connection posts also.
