Default TieRod Recall 07+... ??

I've been watching the news, and it looks like Dodge is recalling a bunch of our HD trucks...

I'm wondering, I have my 06 3500 HD. What changed with the '07s that the 06s aren't affected?

Thanks.

Ahhh. so If I understand you correctly, they saw bankrupcy on the horizon, decided to use some cheaper suppliers, and now its costing dearly in the form of recalls..

I'm more and more happy every day with my truck.. first the 5.9... Now Tierod Ends...

Awesome.

It was more along the lines of Daimler took all their money, Cerberus quit putting money into the company and they had to get what they could afford at the time to stay in business. It was a sad time at Chrysler for sure.

ADDITIONALLY, MODEL YEAR 2003-2008 DODGE RAM 2500/3500 VEHICLES MAY HAVE RECEIVED THE AFFECTED TIE ROD ASSEMBLY AS A REPLACEMENT PART DURING NORMAL SERVICE.

Only the Heavy Duty trucks. Megacab 1500/2500 and 2500/3500 Rams. NOT regular Light Duty 1500's, just so everyone is aware!

My 07' 1500 asphalt queen just had the outer tie-rods replaced last week @ the dealer for state inspection. Too bad the recall isnt on the 1500.
