Default fuel injector problems? fuel injectprs #3 and #4 are not working.

I have a 2003 dodge ram 2500 5.7 hemi with no egr valve. Well to start cylinders #3 and #4 are not working. First i changed coil packs then i checked spark and i have clean spark. Next i checked the injectors and they werent working so i went out bought two injectors and i installed them about 1 hour later. Fire up the truck and the injectors are still missing in cylinders #3 and #4. Any ideas? What could i do next?

Just curious being Im having a heavy knocking sound, took it to a local garage and found out it was my cylinder number 2.
Just had a tune up that cost me $850 about a week earlier!

Checked the plugs ok,
Could the knocking be the injectors?
Its a 5.7L hemi was also told from the code area printout P3497 #07E8 CYLINDER DEACTIVATION SYSTEM BANK 2
Also states its an issue with the 8 cylinders not kicking into 4

From my experience no. The injectors make a clicking sound that u can hear with a stethscope or u could get a rubber hose. And put on end up to ur ear and the other on the injector tp test it. But not they do not make a knocking. Do you know if the sound. Is coming from the bottom or top end?

Sounds like the dreaded 03 broken valve springs. Could also be detonation damage if you use 87 octane and not 89 as recommended in the owners manual.

If its a spring or valve i would suggest to you to test it. Its simple. Run your truck. While its running get a stethoscope or hose and listen for the clicking. Let it run and disconnect one plug wire at a time so u shut down the cylinder. Make sure one at a time. And if it stops ticking u found ur cylinder and u should be able to fix that urself easy as pie.

not exactly, with a broken valve spring (as i found out with an broken intake spring) its going to miss on on random cylinders, i bought 4 coil packs switched em around tried unpluging them and it stil sounded the same unless i unplugged 4 lol i was stumped took it to dodge dealer and 175 i was out the door with a new spring
