So I noticed the other day that my pinion seal and one of my axle seals are leaking so i think its time for me to step up an put some 4.56 gears in the truck.
I just want to make sure i have all the parts
also for the break in period (500 miles?), since i have a 4x4 will it have to be engaged to do the fronts?? I know they are always spinning but they won't have a load
No, don't engage the front, especially on pavement. Just don't go hardcore offroading and you'll be fine. Think about when people buy brand new trucks, guys throw it in 4wd and do their thing with zero break-in as far as load goes. Your probably not going to be beating on it in 4wd going down the road and if you do, there will be lots of wheel spin likely.
