Installing Aftermarket Door Locks

Installing Aftermarket Door Locks
Hi all, I am working on several projects on my new 2003 dodge ram 1500 (std cab 2dr) and it looks like the aftermarket door locks are going to be the biggest PITA even worse than the power window kit i also purchased. I am hoping creating a thread for this specific task would be best to attract those who may have already done this same job. My truck is all manual, door locks, windows, etc.
I took the door apart today to start planning and it appears that there is only a single rod i can tap into, the rod that directly goes to the lock rod on the top of the door. (it was dark and I only had a flashlight) but I couldnt find any other rods to connect to. It looks like I might be able to mount an actuator and get it connected to that rod but its going to be real tight with the window and its track right there.
Anyone else done this that can lend some advice?
The power window motors i hope to fit in the large opening on the bottom right of the door, might just need to dremel away a small piece of sheet metal to get the motor to fit.
thanks!

I actually installed the power window motor/rig on the passenger door today and it seems to work great. i havent done the electrical yet but i connected it up to the battery directly and it went up and down real smooth, i think i figured out how to do the door locks, but its going to be a PITA to clamp on to that rod since its deep in the door. but if i went oem gear i would need to get in there even more so i guess i will suck it up.
thanks again man, your a serious asset to these forums.
