Default Left brake light issue 06 Mega Cab

OK, I have a 06, 3/4 ton, 5.9 Cummins Mega Cab. The left rear brake light is out. Bought new bulbs and it is still out. I got a meter and checked them and all three are good. I was in a time crunch and did not check the socket for power and will have to go back to it. Is there something else in the system can cause the wiring to go dead to that one lamp / circuit? Ideas please, Thanks

Welcome to DF. First, before anything else, please read this.

I will move this to the 3rd gen section (2002-2008 Rams).

I have the same problem in my 06 hemi mega, cab. the left brake light keeps burning out about as fast as I can replace them. I tried searching but could find nothing that helped out. Not bad bulbs, can't find a wiring fault, just blown bulb after blown bulb.
