Default adjusting headlights

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and had a question. I had turned my torsion bars 4 turns quite a while ago and have noticed my headlights bother oncoming traffic. I had been told that the 2003 1500 rams were not adjustable but there is a hex screw under the headlight assembly. I turned it 1 and a half turns clockwise which should bring the headlights down a little but have no way to tell if they actually moved. Has anyone done this? I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this problem. Thanks for the help.

A crude but effective method is to park on level ground about 10 feet facing a wall. Measure the height and width between the trucks headlights and go to the wall and make an xx where the measurements are (one for each headlight at the corresponding height and distance apart. Then adjust headlights so it hits the X for each headlight. You should find better directions if you google headlight adjustment/aiming

I have the same question regarding headlight adjustment. I lifted my 2wd 6", and now when I drive in the dark the headlights don't even shine on the road. I have to turn the fog lights on to see anything. I checked for an adjusting screw, but only found one for side-to-side, not one for up-and-down. Am I missing something here.

Ok, so I have been searching for all the threads for adjusting headlights and from what I have found (correct me if I'm wrong) for the 2004's there is a metal rod that you can see when you open the hood close to the radiator. Is this it? I just tried turning it and nothing happened. Does it take a LOT of turns from the rod to do anything? Please help!

Worked on my 08. It actually lowered the light by adjusting those adjusters somewhat.

Ok, so I went to a dark area last night and shined my lights on a wall. The rods that you can see on the side of the headlights when you open the hood are the vertical adjusting rods. It just takes a lot of twists to get the lights to the lights to the desired level.
