Default Electrical Problems!

so when i was driving all of my gauges just stopped working, it read no bus on my odometer. also the ac would not stay on but the blower motor controls still worked my lights turned on. this happened a few months back and i just took the negative battery cable off for awhile and then reconnected it and everything was fine. i tried that again with no luck this time. anyone know whats going on? thanks mike

For some reason the cluster is not communicating with the PCM. You might check the plug on the back of the cluster for corrosion or a loose connection. If not that, you may either have a bad cluster or PCM.
Check all of your fuses too just to rule them out.

i checked the ignition switch, connector to the gauge cluster and fuses. everything seems fine. i went to autozone they scanned it and it came up like you said lost communication from gauge cluster. also my windsheild wipers and ac will not work. i think like you said it is the computer. what do you think. thanks mike

good news figured out what it was well actually my uncle did. turned out the main wiring harness where it attaches from the inside firewall to the engine compartment the harness bolts had came loose. so we tightened the 3/8" bolts and everything is back to normal! there was one blow 15 fuse but i think it was bc of the plug comming loose and moving around connecting disonecting etc. thanks for the help mike
