Default A/C Condenser fan replaced. Which direction should it rotate?

Hey guys just a quick questions. I just replaced my AC Condenser Fan assembly and I didn't notice which direction it rotated (sucking air into the engine bay or blowing out to the front form the bay.). My new replacement motor blows outwards towards the grill instead of sucking air through the condenser. Can anyone with an OEM Fan check to see if mine needs to be switched around? Thanks.

I think yours is backwards, the fan should pull air from the front of the truck, thru the coils, and into the engine bay. The same way the air will flow when you drive at speeds (driving forward that is). I recently replaced mine but can't remember if the fan blade only went on one way. If not that, maybe the plug got wired backwards for the 12V connector.

Yes it should pull into the engine bay.

I would think it should pull air in from the outside and into the engine bay. How else would it be able to get air if you are going 50 mph? Sure air would be getting forced through at high speeds but if the fan is on and blowing against the incoming air then you would have a problem.

First off thank you for all the feedback. I do agree that it's weird that mine blows forward just like Gordie580's truck and that it only makes sense that when you are driving that it would be fighting the natural air flow pushing through it. Is there any way one of you other guys can check your truck to see which way it is going? I'm in florida so this is a critical component but I don't want to rewire it if it's not designed for that rotation. Thanks again everyone. Love this forum.

Sounds like two fans are wired backwards. It should definitely pull air into the engine bay from outside, just like the cooling fan.

mike correct, they should pull air to the inside of the engine compartment.
Mine does fine but i only use it 2 months a year.

Gordie, are you still running on the original fan? I remember when I bought a new water pump and fan clutch some of them had an option for 'reverse rotation' depending on the engine. I think I saw that option on a few websites as well when I was shopping for the fan motor for the AC.
