Default Quick Cooling Fan Question

Hello, I have a 2008 Dodge Ram Bighorn with the 5.7 HEMI. I have recently noticed that when I start my truck the cooling fan seems to be louder than normal. It seems to go quite again if I leave it run awhile or drive a block or two. Almost reminds me of the howl of a diesel engine. Anyone have any idea what this is?

That's normal. It's the clutch fan. Older cars when the choke was engaged were no different.

I 3rd that. My 08 has done it from day one. It takes a little bit for the clutch fluid to disperse thru the clutch after sitting for a while.
