The TPS is part of the accelerator pedal. Look under the dash and you'll see the harness plug into the top of the pedal.

Default That would be useful info, 03 5.7

I have the 03 4x4 quad cab, 5.7. Last time at the dealer it said low voltage on upstream sensor. I replaced my replacement, just incase it was faulty. Bosch from Autozone. I only have 2. One before cat and one after. Two dodge mechanics looked under my truck and thought it was kind of unique.
I have sprayed 2 cans of Throttle Body cleaner, little better but no fix. Went to get a TPS, which they sold me at Auto Zone. However, I hear the fly-by-wire of my year does not have it.
I am perplexed! I think it is time for the dealer , but I have read many posts elswhere of replacing cam pos sensor, cam sensor, remapping ecu, etc. Hoping to bypass costly pointless visits.

Thanks

Chad

The 5.7L in 03 has the sensor at the end of the throttle cable under the battery area like you mentioned. The later ones, like my 08 have the sensor on the gas pedal assembly.

There is also a TSB about 03 Throttle body's but its related to cold weather and limp mode. I know any minor exhaust leaks (pinholes) fwd of the upstream will give you a cel as it happened to me when I was stock exhaust.

Have you tried to the Reset/Pedal method for the positioning sensor?

My understanding is the TPS is part of the throttle body, so to replace it you need to replace the entire TB.

The APPS(accelerator pedal position sensor) is in the black box above the pedal.
