Default another cruise control question

Okay I did search and I did find a few things. But It seems they are all a little different. My cruise control only works UNDER 40 mph. As soon as I hit 40, it turns all the way off and wont even light up on the dash. Does this sound like a speed sensor or a vaccum leak? if its the leak, where would I check it out yet? Need to get this fixed so I can keep my foot out of it on the highway... and do the brakes also since it feel like I have hotspots on the rotors, and get the tires balanced, and change out the EGR valve. Then I will be happy with the truck.

I would suspect the speed sensor in the driver side front hub.

So that means replacing the whole hub assembly right? Any idea of what a hub costs? I went to Pep boys yesterday, and they said the only sensor in the hub was the ABS sensor.

Yeah the abs sensor is in the left front hub. A new hub is about 90 on ebay. Check locally also and places online like rockauto.com

ABS does control the cruise.

Nothing wrong with tryng as long as you can match it to your sensor.

I found the ABS sensor on Rockauto for $60. from Pep BOys it was $170.00 Big difference. I might end up trying to see if its the same on here once I have some spare cash at the end of September. I will def keep everyone informed on it too.
