New guy ac problem

Default New guy ac problem

Again im new to this i have a ac problem my ac blows warm air if im stoped or idle if i gas it it blows cool air and its a 2003 dodge ram if that helps well i went and bout one of thos ac recharge cans with the guage on it i did that the instructions said and upon checking the pressure itsnin the red i have not even charged it yet could there be a stuck closed valve or somthing it sounds like the conpressor is clicking on then stops then back on hope i dont have to replace compressor im a poor college student. Please help

when the ac is on, the condensor fan should be running all the time. it common for it not to be working and thus not give cold air when stopped or parked because no air is getting drawn through the condensor.

check fuse first, if its fine then jump 12v directly to the fan. if it doesnt turn then search here on the site on how to replace it.

make sure to check the fuses for the controls and the fan. and also the relay. also check to see if the motor works when given power. if not, then youre gonna need a new fan motor or jus get the whole assembly.
