If it's like the 2004 there ain't much room on that side. I think you need to remove wheel liner for access.

phew....Its done!! I answered my own question..There wasn't a grey ****. I could see where the bulb went in the headlight. I just twisted it and it popped right out. I then undid the little red lock on the wire and pulled the bulb out of the harness. I had a hard time getting the new bulb in though..As it turns out there is a little orange neoprene round seal that has to come out. The sulvainia bulbs have their own seal. As soon as I removed the seal the new bulb popped right in..Took all of 30 seconds to do both sides once I figures it all out..

Do the bulbs really cost 50 bucks each up in Canada?

Yup, did mine a month ago...2 minutes to figure out how to get the old ones out...almost an hour to figure out the old o ring was stuck in the assembly and thus the new silver stars would not go back in... And them 30 seconds to get the new ones in after pulling the dang o ring. What a pain in the butt that ended up being! Glad you got it figured out. It wasn't till one of mine accidentally fell out while trying to get the bulb in for the what seems like the 20th time that I even knew there was an o ring stuck on the assembly.

I just reached down in there and swapped them out when I installed my Silverstars. It's tight but no big deal.
