Update. I've seen others post the same problem so I'll post my solution. It was the
ground where it contacts the chassis. (on my model just over the air filter box bolted
to chassis). It's strange, I unbolted it and the metal that the contact touches is painted
like the rest of the truck. I had to sand it good to get to bare metal. I figured this should
have caused a problem since the beginning.
