Even if I'm inside, turn off the engine and prepared to get out, then the engine turn itself on.

1. My truck battery is quite new, less than 9 months old.
2. I changed my FOB battery just in case.
3. Gas tank full.
4. The only thing out of the ordinary, is the damage air tire sensor.

Can someone help me to shed some light in the matter?

Thanks!
Hi Luis,

Have you had a chance to have your vehicle diagnosed at a certified dealership?

Default Truck starting by itself

I'm new to this forum. I'm glad you guys post your questions and concerns about these Dodge Rams. I just had this same issue today on 2nd Gen. Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9L Magnum engine in her. I was cleaning the battery terminals/cables on my Dodge. When putting the negative cable back on the truck started on its own. No key in the ignition when this incident occurred. I put the key in the ignition, turn the key on the accessory mode, then in the start position but the truck was still running. I depressed the brake pedal then the truck cut right off. I called my trustworthy mechanic and mention that my truck might have a remote start system installed on this Dodge Ram.

So far as I know, they didn't come with a remote start from the factory. Keyless entry, yes, but, remote start? No. Gotta be an aftermarket system.

We are still quite a ways from that kind of autonomy.... No matter all the folks bandying about the 'self driving' terms.

I have an 05 Durango Limited that does the same thing. Hook the battery up and it starts itself and shuts itself off but on the 3rd time it will stay running. As soon as I tap the brake it will shut off.
I got some other electrical things going on too but saw this post and had to chime in that I've got the same thing going on as far as it starting itself. And a friend of mine mentioned that it has to have a remote starter on it
