My ABS Light & Brake Light both come on quite a bit (for the past week). I don't notice any difference in performance while they are on. I recently had an outer tie rod end replaced. Any ideas of what can make both lights come on? Thanks for any ideas you can give!
welcome to the site. there is an abs sensor on the front drivers hub and possibly the pass side also. check and/or replace as needed. also download the srvc manual for your truck from my signature link below and look through it also
Since the manual in the links are all pdf, you can do a simple search function for 'abs' and find what you need very quickly. Give it a shot and do some reading and see what you can find.
IMO, the abs sensor is easy to replace if that is your problem.
I noticed this morning those lights were on when I started my truck. I drove around town for about 5 minutes, my speedometer needle went crazy (up/down/not working), then the lights came back on. Do you think the ABS sensor would cause that? Thanks again.
