Default DIY Powerwire install

Hey all. I'm expecting the powerwire made by rocket to come in by today hopefully and he has already offered a brief explanation of how to install it but before I go cutting wires I would like to know if anyone has some pics of installing a home made powerwire? What kind of materials do I need for the install? Electrical tape, wire strippers, crimpers, etc.?

I believe what he made up are crimpers, so you'll need a crimper tool.
The IAT plug has two wires, you'll cut them and crimp the "homemade" powerwire to the cut wires. Pretty simple. You'll be adding the powewire in between the sensor and the computer. I would tape the crimps aftwerwards.

Also, I would cut a few inches back from the sensor plug so you'll have room to take the powerwire back off in the future. You'll need to remove some factory sheething to be able to do so because the factory makes the length short out of the main harness.

It's been a while but let me go look at mine. If I'm not mistaken you only need to cut one of the two wires and not both.

And ok I just wanted to know what I needed to go out and pick up before I started this. Since I just moved into an apartment up at school I'm lacking the tools that I had back home to use and work with.

Ok I must thank rocket for making it so easy since it already came with all the connectors. Looks like all I have to do is snip, strip and crimp.

I've read a lot about these. Ive read mixed reviews. what do you guys think? Increase any mpg? Increase HP at WOT? Can you feel the extra power? I understand how it works, just wondering if it works.

no increase in mpg. thats not what it does. it adds 2-3% more fuel at WOT.

Kinda pointless if you have a tuner. You can do that without a power wire

A nice cheap mod if a tuner is not in your future though.
