Question Help Loud Squealing noise

2005 Dodge Ram 1500
5.8l V-8
Squealing noise when I reverse, also when I accelerate. Brakes squeal loudly when I stop. Changed Back brakes, they were bad, should I change the front as well, could this be the cause of the noise?

Sounds to me like your muffler bearing is bad. Jk. Yes, it would be a good idea to change the front brakes as well.

LOL, And if that doesn't help, replace the front pads that have wear clips on them that squeal when they get worn.

Does it squeal the same if you accelerate slowly versus hammering on the gas pedal? Or what about just revving the engine a little bit while in park (just to eliminate the possibility of the belt or pulley squeal). So it only squeals on acceleration only correct? If you speed up to 15 and maintain that speed would it still squeal?

Oh, just thought of something else, check the front brake dust shields to make sure they aren't touching the rotors. That happened to me last month when I put new rotors on.

ok. When I reverse slowly it only squeals a little, when I put it in drive and accelerate it squeals loudly until I hit abou 20-25mph, then no squeal and does not squeal again when stopping only accelerating, and its definately not a belt. its like a squeek squeek squeek. Thats the only way I can describe it, also told it sounds like rubber rubbing together.
