Default Does it sound like my IAC is bad

A few years ago my truck had a bad idle and threw a code for the TPS and I replaced it. Still my idle is extremely low I am talking around 300 in park and when I put truck in drive it almost stalls. Last night I took out IAC and left it plugged in and turned key forward to test IAC and it didn't move. I cleaned IAC and installed it this morning and no change. I unplugged it while truck was running and nothing changed for the worse so this is telling me it could be bad. Any Thoughts

Have you checked the TSB;s for your year to see if maybe there was a re-program of the PCM? I know there was for the 02/03 Dak's with the 4.7L.
If so, it'll be free, just gotta go to the dealer. If not, then it could be your IAC valve or maybe even the EGR?

Might want to check on the price of a reflash. TSB's are usually only free if under warranty unless you are lucky enough to have a great dealer like I do.

i have an '06 - 4.7L and mine is doing something similar. the difference in mine is that my rpm tack is jumping. it will be idling fine, but the tack is reading 0 rpms. not possible. i cleaned the ICV lastnight with carb cleaner and no change in the tack reading. is the rpm gauge directly linked to the ICV? i forgot to mention that the actual idle on mine does stick sometimes when you first start it. it will stick around 1200 rpms, but only for a couple seconds. so basically, my rpm gauge isn't reading correctly. how do i fix that?

Going to replace my cluster with another one to see if it is my gauge. Something doesn't seem right with the rpm's and rule that out. My buddy is going to get flash from the dealership he works at and flash my computer at his house. He said he had the same issue with his 4.7 Cherokee. Just want to rule out cluster before I travel 2.5 hours to see him. Changing IAC didn't make it any better.
