Transmission: Good or Bad

Transmission: Good or Bad
I have been talking to a few people, and I am wondering is it true that Dodge has the lowest grade transmisson in trucks as far as Ford or Chevy? I have been looking at many trucks, Ram, F250 & 250, and Chevy 1500 & 2500. What I have been told was Dodge has the smallest trans(by Ford & Chevy). I like the Rams, but is this true if I am planning on towing? Maybe they told me this because I already have a Dodge Durango, and I told them I love it? Help me out, Please...Pros and cons if possible.

the dodge transmissions are just fine as long as you take care of them and change the fluid at the recommended interval, however most people dont bother, and that is why they have a bad rep, (that and people who flush the trans, that is a big no no for many reasons)
although if you are looking at ram trucks this should really be in the ram section, they will have more information about any quirks in the full size lineup.
ill put it there for you

I haven't read very many threads complaining about properly maintained trannys. The interval on my '03 is 30K, but I'm pretty sure it had not been done until I did it at 87K (now at 114K, with occasional towing). It seems to be doing fine. The stock 545 apparently can handle some engine mods and still stay glued together. The folks who have had the tranny give up with proper maintenance are putting seriously more power into them.
