so you think its prly a good idea to replace the lsd as well. i rather not spend all the money on having gears installed to have the lsd fail after...

Never been a big fan of the Mopar LSD, even without the "c-clip" issue. Most of the time just to get it to engage you either have to apply a little brake with the gas or set the e-brake slightly on with the gas.
If you have the funds, have either an Auburn or TruTrac installed when they do the gears, there is almost no extra work involved if they are in the housing anyway...
