Default Buzzing/Grinding Noise with High Speed acceleration

Odd problem going on with my 2006 Hemi.

When I'm cruzing at highway speeds (50+) and try to accelerate to pass or climb a hill.....a loud grinding/buzzing noise is heard from inside the engine compartment. If you let off the gas.....then re-accelerate the noise is gone.

I have had this truck in and out of the local dodge dealership here in Richmond, VA and they can't seem to find the cause of this noise.

The warrenty runs out in about 4K miles.....so I want to get it solved and fixed ASAP.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Welcome to the forum

Does the transmission seem to be downshifting ok when it does this?
Perhaps the fan belt is slipping?

The transmition seems to be doing fine. The sound is definately coming from the engine area (I think the drivers side).

Its doesn't sound like a fan belt....and I just had the truck at the dealship for 2 days while they tested everything. He stated that everything is tight and all belts look good.

I was hoping someone else may have experienced something like this and had the solution.

Did you ever figure out your noise cuz mine does the same thing, freeway speed passing gear, loud buzz/ grind noise, sounds like power steering low but not from it, sounds like trans pump/ hydraulic noise, thanks

Default Same problem!

Did you ever find out what it was? I'm having the same problem, it does the same thing especially when I'm hauling my trailer and going up Jill and really need to step on the gas. It's doing it more at low speeds to when I step on the gas quick, but worse at higher speeds. It was just at the shop and it's an 05 and I've only had it 6 months. They couldn't find anything at the shop either!!!
