Ive only been around here for about 2 weeks...but so far Ive heard some bull**** posts...the newest being about a RC Hemi Ram "hanging with a 2001 Cobra" until approx. 70mph...


Take it from me since I have owned 2 cobras so far.....a 1999 and a 2004 supercharged Cobra....

I dont care what type of Hemi truck you have and how light it is compared to quad cabs....this is ridiculous.

Even the SRT-10 Ram is slightly slower than a stock 2001 cobra....with some mods...the cobra will beat that EASILY....and you even said he had mods.


A 2001 Cobra is a SOLID 13.5 second car BONE STOCK.......this guy said that the cobra he raced had intake, exhaust, pulleys, and a tune...which is good for another 40rwhp....on a stock 280rwhp car. so this cobra was making approx. 315-320rwhp and only weighs in at around 3400 lbs....while your truck weighs around 4800 lbs and makes around 270rwhp stock...and you have hardly any mods.


Either the guy in the cobra couldnt drive for **** or he was spinning up badly off the line and you thought you were just so much faster because you beat him to 30mph. I dont even want to hear how you think you truck is anywhere near a 13.0 second car.


If I hear about someone on hear hanging with an 03-04 cobra...im gonna come to your house and smack you. Even a supercharged ram hemi cant hold a candle to a mid 12 second car. BTW....my 1999 cobra made 340rwhp and my 2004 cobra that i traded in for my truck...made 472rwhp.

 

I smoked an 03 Cobra at the track while pulling my boat. They are junk. I'll be waiting for your knock on my door.

 

Once again...I DIDN'T BEAT HIM! And how are you gonna tell me I can't even hang with him. How many Cobra's you raced in your Hemi?!?!

 

Thats exactly what i was saying, there is no way in hell that a hemi truck is going to hang with a cobra, that guys a *******.

And besides that, look at the date, it says, 2000 cobra, THEY DIDNT MAKE THEM IN 2000, EXCEPT FOR THE COBRA-R.

And if he thinks that he hung with one of those, maybe it started in 3rd and had a flat tire.

 

Ive raced alot of cars in my hemi, and i know your so full of S H I T, your eyes are brown, just give up, everyone knows your a joke, i dont care what kind of gearing, what kind of bolt ons you have, unless you got a HOT *** CAM, or A SUPERCHARGER, THIERS NO WAY IN HELL YOUR GOING TO HANG WITH ANY COBRA IN ANY GEAR. PERIOD.

 

HOW am I gonna tell you you cant hang with him????......i shouldnt have to...common sense would have smacked u upside the head if you had any.


I wouldnt even waste my time trying to race a regular 1998-2004 GT (let alone the newer ones) let alone a cobra.

The Hemi is quick for a PICKUP truck....thats all....its not meant to beat up on sports cars.


Seriously, i dunno what you consider fast....but i have owned many sports cars and still currently own a highly modded Vette Z06...

This truck is SLOW as **** to me....but quicker than most other pickups....thats all. Even with the few performance mods i did and i still have plans to bring the truck in to Kooks for headers and a new y-pipe....its STILL slow. thats that.


Maybe your cousin has a v-6 stang with a cobra emblem on the side and front of it and you thought it was a cobra.


In all seriousness...I could shred my tires in my old Cobra or Z06 off the line and still beat a hemi ram to 60mph.


At best...you have a low 15 second truck. only because its a regular cab and only 2 wheel drive (the combo makes for a waste of a truck but whatever)


Best advice.....fine....you "hung" with him through 2nd gear.....but more importantly....dont go messing with other cobras on the highway.....you might get dissappointed very quickly!
