worked great for me... put on the polished stainless ones... once we figured out that the one attachment went to the rocker panel and not the frame, they went on easy... love 'em
I've got tube steps on my list of mods to do and was wondering what model of Westins people are getting? The e-series, signature series, or platinum series. I almost got a set of the signature series in January, but found a killer deal on some 1/2" drive deep impact sockets I couldn't pass up. One of my main concerns is what nwtiki mentioned, that they don't stick out far enough to really get a good foot on.
got mine on Amazon for about $180 & free shipping - mine came in 2 days, they are the signature series - here's the link. they look great and stick out far enough to be useful.
I think that they look great but I would never use them. I'm a big boy (385 lbs) and afraid that I'd bend or break them the first time that I stepped on them!
I got some eBay ones also. They've done well so far, however the driver's side hardly ever sees any use, I'm 6'5" and don't need any help getting in and out of the truck. However wifey on the other hand does, and it was necessary to add them to the truck. As far as weight, my so-called friends put them to the test, 2 guys on each side seeing how much they could rock my truck back and forth... They steps held up well...
one of the first things I bought for my '06 2500 QC--- westins are good but make sure you attach the small brackets. ditto for wifey's side gettin all the use!!!!
