I have them on my 2500 QC. Piece of cake to install - but I had access to a lift.

I did the chrome ones. The instructions are a little fuzzy, but easy enough to figure out. All you need to do is unbolt 2 frame bolts on ea side, use their replacement ones and bolt the new brackets on, then bolt the step to the bracket. Make sure you use the small angle brackets as well--they help keep the steps from twisting. Let me know if you can't get it figured out and I can send you some pics.

Thanks for the reply. Everything was much clearer after i crawled under the truck. Only took me about 45 min for both sides. I got the stainless chrome plated ones and they look very nice, just hope they hold up to the climate live 2 blocks from the beach. Im looking to put on some chrome bed rails anyone have any suggestions.

I'm not real happy with my Westin, wheel-2-wheel side steps. They don't stick out from the truck enough. I was hoping that they would help prevent door dings from smaller cars but they sit tucked back to far. Also, you can only get about the first 3 inches of your foot onto the steps when climbing in. I'm finding myself always kicking the paint right under the door jamb.
I'm looking into getting an extention welded on since Westin doesn't provide any kits.

I love mine. I've had the black on my Cummins for almost 2 years. No sag, no issues as listed above, no corrosion. Great bars.

You can't really see 'em that well but...

I have the Westins as well on my 07 1500 MegaCab. Has anyone noticed any noises, after the install, that sounds like a dull thump? I am certain I torqued the frame bolts to the correct spec, and I used the new ones provided, but it almost sounds like I am getting some movement over bumps that causes the "thump" sounds.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Honestly Couldn't Stand Them, They Ripped Off The First Time I Went Hunting. The Install Is Self Explanatory.

I've had five sets on my last five trucks. Three were Westins and I never had an issue, no sag, no pitting on chrome ones, no chipped paint on black ones. The two other sets (one chrome, one black) were crap. Pitting from hell after only a year, chipped pait and the black set even had a step pad fall off on the highway...
