Oil
I use M1 in my Ram and Jeep GC and change just before 6K according to the DC maintenance schedule. Also used it on the last 5 or 6 new vehicles I owned. Put over 170K on a Dakota. No problems, but I wouldn't expect problems running dyno oil. Guess it just makes me feel better spending the extra $$$
yuo they are serious about it. the 5-20 wieght oil is the key to making the mds system operate properly. DC discovered that the 530 they originally used was not allowing the system to operate properly.
Wrong. The MDS is not avail. on the hemi engines in the Dodge Rams yet. It WILL be avail. next year for the 2006 models.
I know that the 2003-2004 Dodge Ram Hemis recommended 5w-30 and they changed it for 2005. I dunno, I just switched over to synthetic at 9,000 miles last weekend. I am using Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic....truck is running fine. For next change, I will probably order a case of 5w-20 mobil 1 a few weeks before the change since its near impossible to find more than 2 bottles or so of 5w-20 mobil 1 anywhere!!!
