Default Engine Code PO307

Hey guys Im a newbie and did the self diagnostic check with the key 3x and it pulled up PO307 which is Cylinder 7 misfire detected. Now this happened when I started it and she was sputtering pretty bad. I shut her off and she started fine. How big of an issue is this? Also if she doesnt do this again how do I shut off the engine light? Im gonna check the spark plug and wire to see if somehow something came loose after Elk hunting. Thanks for the help everyone who responds.

Is start with inspecting the plugs and wires and coil. I had a Ford Taurus do it, changed the above mentioned for all cylinders, luck of the draw I got a bad plug from pep boys. If your short on cash you could move the plug and wire and coil to a different cylinder, reset the eclipse by pulling battery of for 5 minutes, wait n see if the miss moves to that cylinder and if so you have isolated the cause.
Could also have a bad injector, cam, head gasket leak...a lot of issues but more common is the first mentioned.
How many miles since last plug change, what kind of plugs?

Last plug change was about 15K ago along with new MSD wires. The plugs are some champions because O'Reilly's didn't have any thing else. Mileage is 113,4XX

Could be a fluke, re-set the PCM and if the code doesn't come back, don't sweat it...

Hey guys so far after re-setting the PCM and putting 89 grade gas she seems to be back to normal. Could the gas 87 grade in Colorado/Nebraska in combination with the altitude produce this problem if the PCM was re-setting back to the Missouri altitude?

Default Same code P0307

I have the same code poping up. P0307 on a 2008 dodge ram 1500 5.7. Changed plugs, coil, injector, crankshaft sensor, and even had the pcm changed at the dealer. I know that the injector isn't getting any power but why? My truck still has the same problem. My truck has multidisplacement and they said it could be the sensor. Does anyone have any other ideas?
