son of a gun...they didn't say anything about a fee to transfer the 3/36 and 7/70 powertrain warranty to me. I thought it went with the vehicle. It better be under a couple hundred bucks, or no go on the step bars.

I was under the impression the factory warranty was for the vehicle and wasn't dependant upon owner, yet an extended warranty would need to be transfered because it is purchesed separate from the vehicle...

I could be wrong, but I don't think so, you may want to call a local dodge service department to be sure..

I think the 3/36 still applies, it is just the 7/70 that you have to transfer. You also have a deductable after the 3/36 if under the 7/70.

If you are the original owner and just purchased a dealer demo with a few thousand miles, you are OK and should have both warranties.

If you are the second owner, check with your dealer, SOON. The 3/36 should automatically transfer, but the 7/70 probably has a $150 transfer fee that must be paid within 30 days. That's the way it is on the 04s anyway.
