Default 03 hemi 2500 no power on highway

When driving at highway speeds throttle doesn't seem to respond when trying to accelerate. If I apply pressure to the foot pedal nothing happens for 1/4 to 1/2 of travel. Then normaly downshifts to increase speed. In town its the opposite almost being to responsive. Any ideas?
Thanks

A dose of Sea Foam may help, as well as a throttle body cleaning and new plugs. How many miles on the current plugs?

I'm thinking that it's more of a tps or simular problem. The motor doesn't seem to respond at all until the pedal is 1/2 to 3/4 depressed. I mean no rpm or increased intake or exhaust noise. Like the pedal is doing nothing! If it is it's barely noticeable.

Yep, could very possibly be a TPS problem from the sounds of it...

Just for giggles have you tried the reset where you push the pedal down slow and let it up slow to see if that helps any also are you getting any codes

Haven't tried the reset or looked for codes. How do you do the reset. I'll also check for codes. The part that throws me is that it seems alright in town at slower speeds.

The "search" function is a strong and powerful ally. Oh and it never hurts to check the FAQ/DIY section either...
