Hey can you post a picture of the wire you disconnected, mine freaked out when I tried doing this, so I figured I was pulling the wrong wire since I was getting trans codes.. I would love to get rid of the TMR it sucks in my opinion.

Here is the thread describing the procedure. Pictures start around page 3 I believe. This is only for 2002/2003 I think, 2004 and higher this does not apply. It's very easy to do, I did it in 10 minutes in the parking lot of work, and it is completely reversible if need be.

Yellow wire with a light blue or green stripe. Can't remember stripe color for sure, but if you look on the side of the connector where the wires go in they will be numbered. It is pin # 10. Slowly work out the red "pin keeper". Encapsulates all pins on that end. Then work out pin 10. Tape it or heat shrink it once out. It is the pin on bottom row closest to the connector screw.

Its a green strip yellow wire, im sure he has already got this done by now though.
