Riddle me this, Riddle me that....
Earlier this evening I was on the way to a board meeting. As I went through the intersection going about 25 mph, POP/BAM and the right front drops out from under me. I stop and look...Not a nice scene. The wrecker driver couldn't believe this. He said that he has seen this after an accident but I did not hit anything and there is no body damage. He also wanted me to take pics to prove that he did not do it dragging it on the roll-off. In one way, I'm a little ticked and on the other hand, I'm glad it happened where it did and at the speed it happened. If I had not decided to go to the meeting, it would have happened on the highway on the way to work.
It will be interesting what the dealer says and to see the face of the rim after it slid down the road. While I was waiting, I walked down the street to see if there were any potholes (love salted roads) and did not see any. I was out most of the day looking at our jobs and did not notice anything out of the ordinary. And its a 2007 with 56,000 miles...Any thoughts
This is what it should look like...

I talked to the dealer and they are thinking the upper ball joint failed. Not sure because they are still trying to figure out how to get it in the shop. It snowed last night which is creating an issue with their jacks. I have the lifetime powertrain warranty....Which should not matter (to me anyways) because it should not have failed on a truck thats 4 years old with 56,000 miles.
