Unhappy 05 Ram Shifting Issue when Cold

My 05 Ram ( 4.7L ) won't shift into gear when it is cold. Always works fine when warm. No other problems with shifting, etc. after it gets into gear. Doesn't matter if I try reverse or drive, or any lower gears. Anyone know what part is causing this. The truck has 70K miles and I had the fluid/filter changed at 50K. The problem existed before the fluid change. I bought it used so I imagine it was happening before I bought it.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Sorry, but I was a little lost in the different forums and thought I posted on the "main" Dodge Ram forum. I am totally new here and I will explore the site and try to become familiar. Did you close the post I posted, or the thread or whatever it was I did? If so, please explain that decision to me. I was not offensive, I tried to explain the question as best I could. I am NEW as I explained.
Thank you in advance
Mitch
