Do you need to weld a new fitting on and add a new O2 sensor? Or can you tap the factory wiring/sensor?

The factory sensors are narrow bands I believe so no you can't tap into them. You need to buy a new bung for the sensor weld it in after the front O2 but before the cat.

Tapping your stock sensor and using a narrow band o2 get you nothing but a worthless blinky light. If you want any useful info you need a wideband.
