Default LED Tail lights?

Tried a search but only found info on the 4th Gen trucks.

I want to replace my tail lights with LED models. They come on quicker and good quality models are brighter then regular bulbs. But the vast majority of the ones i see online and on ebay are import junk that are poorly made or are not very bright. The ones i really like are made by Hella, so the quality is great. They are called CELIS and they are super bright. But the issue i am finding is they only list them on the Hella site as fitting 2007-2008 Rams. But i have found a few websites that list a version as 2006 Ram only.

Does anybody know why ad/or how the tail lights differ on an 06' vs an 07' Ram? They look identical in design. So what is the issue? If it's something simple, like needing to add a resistor, then ill buy them. But is it more complex?

The Hella lights aside, does anybody know of any really nice LED tail lights that are all red (don't want smoke or clear) and install without special resistors?

There is a big difference between 06 and 07 + 08 tail lights.
1. They are wired differently
2. The design is different
3.The boards are not the
same
Totally different animal.
I have an 06 and wanted the 07 + style tails and found out the hard way LOL.

I bought a set off ebay, Spyder I believe is the manufacturer. I have no complaints.

That's odd, because here they list them for 05-08 Ram:

I was referring to the OEM stock tail lights.
02 - 06 use 3 bulbs and 07-08 use only 2.

Those LEDs above sound good, but 05-08 is kind of a strange span considering how these trucks varied in the electrical dept. PCM compared to TIPM and other subtleties mentioned above.

I'm interested in some reviews on these. Let us know if you get em , if they are plug and play and how they look in action.

I think they come in all red, too. I wanted the gray to compliment the silver.

Don't replace your stock bulbs with LED bulbs. Replace your whole tails with a pair from ebay.

They are OEM quality. I've had mine for 5 years with no problem. They look and work like stock - just plug & play.
