Dual air intake systems
I'm shopping around for an air intake system and came across a dual air intake system. Blew me away really, didn't know these existed til today. Anyone ever use one of these things?
i was thinking about getting one of those just to screw around (see what it does) I vote you buy it, then cut the grill out of your hoodscoop and see if it makes it real ram air... and THEN tell me
2 things - 1) Hot air intake, and 2) Aluminum transfers heat REALLY well - you're going to heat up the intake charge.
And unless you're running FI, you won't out-flow a single one. Got a blower? wrap it in header wrap and run ductwork to blow cold air on it and call it good. Otherwise, bah.

Yea I got to agree with the crew. It looks neat but it isnt practical. I am not sure which hood you have but the one I have seen on the SRT look like you can loosen a couple of screws and remove the grill insert. Still not sure if the air woudl get to the intake cool or not. The themal wrap would be good at keeping the temp in check but all that heat under the hood goes up then it hits the hood and kind of hangs out.
I have seen some single ones that I like but I have issue paying so much for some pretty basic pieces.

First of all i wanted to say sweet looking truck! Ive seen them all the time in Camaro LS1 engine's. They seem to work very well and people love them. I wasn't aware that mopar even made one. Id go with the cheaper one. Personally not a fan of the K&N filters.

K&N is the cheaper of the two. If not K&N, what would you go with HEMI_n_Cali?
P.S. My girlfriend has a quote she'd like to share..."Don't Stroke it...RAM IT!!!"
